ok – pump has failed on our F1403FD which is otherwise in good repair. I ordered a new pump assembly off 4myLG which the LG website directs you to – it turned up and i disassembled the front of the machine – removed old assembly and found

    1. The mounting plate on the bottom of the assembly is different

    2. The wiring loom is too short to reach the connector on the right front of the casing

    3. The old pump is marked 30W 0.21A, the new 30W 0.3A

I am being told the original pump has been discontinued and this is the official replacement – anyone else had this issue and if so how did you solve as there is no way to safely make the wires reach (would have to stretch diagonally across the front of the drum) or to securely mount the assembly (would only be held by the 3 screws around the filter with no support from base of machine. If I knew how to post a picture i would as i have a photo of the 2 assembly’s side by side

Ok just use the pump housing and old pump wiring remove the pumps but pay attention to what position they are in,the pump housing is fine, you could have gone to the site shop and just replace the pumps alone. Doesn’t matter about the wattage or amps written on the pumps
