ParticipantI’ve got an LG F1480FD, which has a minor leak, approx. 2 table spoons of water per wash.
The water comes out by the leg of nearest the pump., however there appears to be no signs of leaks from anywhere.
I have found some water in the bottom front plate (which needs to be removed to see the pump) held on by two screws.I have found that water appears to drip into the bottom front plate from behind the main front cover (i.e. where the door is). The water comes out from where the bottom front plate clips in.
There appears to be no leaks from any part of the pump, no water on the base of the washing machine.
There are no apparent leaks from the door seals. The bottom drain of the door seal was blocked, but is not anymore, as were the 3 small drain holes between the sections of the door seal.
I’ve also cleaned out the tray as the water appeared to come from the filling tray area, as that lip on the bottom of main front cover was damp in that area.
There does not appear to be any operation which causes the leak.
No idea where to look next any ideas ???Also how can I trigger specific actions i.e. fill, drain, flush water though the soap. Is there a service mode I can trigger?

you mean removing the retaining clip on the front seal ?, no
but looking with a mirror inside there appears to be no leaking when the machine is runningJanuary 26, 2014 at 3:45 pm #408468admin

Hi
It’s more likely that its the dispenser assembly. It’ll leak on the final rinse normally.

Bryan,
Any idea which part of the assembly, would leak, when i cleaned it it got a lot better (thought i had fixed it but i came back), also is there any type of service mode i can use to cause constant water flow though the assembly.January 26, 2014 at 5:08 pm #408470admin

Hi
It needs a new water dispenser assembly..NO matter of cleaning it will cure it.
