ParticipantHi….Ive just had this problem on my LG F1480TDS after about 6 mins it stops and trips the RCD,after a reset it will work just fine and do a brilliant wash
Anyone how can advise me please?September 23, 2016 at 7:41 am #441189electrofix

my first guess would be the heater. 6 minutes is about right for the heater to switch on.
normally it would keep tripping if you reset but its still the first guess
if you set a rinse programme that does not heat does it still trip ?
you could disconnect the wires to the heater and insulate the connections ( after unplugging the machine )
then try the programme with the heater disconnected. Yes it wont heat and would take hours to go through the programme so dont add washing but if it does not trip you probably have found the problemDave

Ok guys thank
I took the back off and disconnected the heater, but the washer wont start up without a load 🙁 then it says UL error 🙁 so i figure it might be either the backs off or theses no load on the heater
Got my daughter to to come up who’s a qualified electrician and run her fluke multimeter on it
Bingo nothing
so ive just ordered the part now
Thank you once again one and all 🙂October 2, 2016 at 2:06 pm #4411960adbylad
