ParticipantNeeding to replace the lifter/paddles on an LG washer model FH4G7TDNO.
I have the drum out as bearing a bit noisy as well. I have new lifters MFE61901101. However I haven’t been able to fit these. There isn’t sufficient distance to let the lifter move far enough forward for the catches to enter the slots in the drum. The nose of the lifter comes up against the inside of the front plate of the drum. The lifter I have would require another 8mm distance. It looks as if it would be fine if in its final position. There are also two screws that would secure the lifter when it slides into the correct position
Has any one encountered this problem.Thank you in advance for any comments / assistance.

Moderatorwell thats an odd one
getting the off with the drum out should not pose a problem as you can remove the lugs
problem is will the new ones go it

ParticipantThe old ones came off ok as tabs were mostly broken just the screws were holding them in place. The front screws could be accessed through the sump hose hole but I don’t know how the rear screw could have been accessed without the drum being removed. Wondered about drilling a small hole at the top of the drum to allow access and then filling with epoxy when new ones in place. Of course this does not solve the real problem of getting the new one into place even with the drum removed. I am wondering about the possibility of softening the nose of the lifter without permanently deforming it.
Thanks for your comments Dave.August 27, 2025 at 4:56 pm #493527Tom

ParticipantI have had a look at the old ones and they are identical. They look impossible to fit too. I have another machine with a busted tub but hopefully “good” drum so may do a swap but really far too much work involved. I think I will be wiser next time I encounter this scenario.
