Hi – I want to replace the defective ice maker assembly on my American-style LG fridge freezer GWL227HBYA: however, I am struggling to remove it. There are two screws holding it to the door – I have removed one, but the other is obscured by the panel that covers the on/off switch connections (this panel also directs the water into the ice tray). I tried to remove the panel by removing the one small screw, but it is still clipped to the door. It is loose but no matter how much I push/pull/lift/twist it, it won’t become detached. I don’t want to break it, so any advice on how to remove it would be much appreciated.
I took a couple of photos but apparently they are too big to upload on here.
