We have an LG fridge-freezer model GR-252SBD. The fridge is the top comparment, freezer below. It is situated in an unheated but enclosed outside passage.
It has been in use for about ten years and has occasionally had the freezer compartment defrost during cold weather, presumably due to the ambient temperature ‘confusing’ the thermostat.
However, both the fridge and freezer are now not cooling at all. Both compartments are at ambient temperature. There is still power: the light operates; the compressor is running (or sounds like it is) and I can hear coolant gurgling in the pipework.
    Any ideas?

If you can hear the compressor running and gurgling in the pipe work it has lost the gas because of a leak or the compressor has failed / not pumping correctly.
Due to the age it is most likely beyond economical repair for this type of fault.
