LG GR-L247 Ice Maker…..

Hi,
I have a LG (my mistake, I had originally posted this as a Wetinghouse, but it is an LG) 2-door Fridge/Freezer with the ice maker/water dispenser on the left hand side. Model number is GR-L247. My problem is with the ice maker. I had noticed that there was a lot of ice forming inside the freezer and ice in the ice catcher. Upon further investigation, it appears that what is happening is that when the water turns on to fill the ‘ice-cube maker’, the water seems to spray everywhere and that is the water that is freezing and forming ice all over the place. I have switched the ‘ice-cube maker’ off and the rest of the fridge/freezer seems to work perfectly fine, just no ice to be dispensed.

Is there something I can do to fix this? Could it possibly be the hose that the water comes out of into the ice-cube maker is off allignment and this is causing the water to spray everywhere? If so, is there a simple fix? Or is it somehting more complicated?

Any help and advice is more than welcome.

I had originally and mistakenly posted this as a Westinhouse, but after checking I can confirm that it is an LG (Model Number GR-L247).

Sorry for any confusion. Once again, I ask for any help or advice anyone may be able to offer.
