Hi,
I have the above fridge freezer compressor runs but not freezing the evapourator at all. Is there any refrigerant switching valves on this or does this mean compressor failed or no gas?

Yes the compressor or low on gas is the most likly fault.
You also need to check if the condensor fan is working.
The fan is near the compressor and cools the gas and compressor.

I was afraid that might be the case as I have no regas skill or equipment and presumably there is a leak somewhere although no obvious signs. The condenser fan is working fine but there is no heat being dissipated from it . The compressor is hot however. I noticed it uses R134a gas.
Can it be economically fixed??

Not many companys can regas now and some are expensive.
It depends if the leak can be found if it is worth repairing.
The nearest to you who would be able to regas is in Taunton.
You can phone him for an estimate and if he covers your area
