    Hi all

Further to my last post about my freezer not working (sorry – couldn’t add another reply to it for some reason), I have taken a picture of the actual frost build up on the evaporator.

The only parts I can find for this fridge freezer is the evaporator on here. Can’t find the defrost sensor / fuse anywhere else otherwise I would try that.

Given up on engineer call outs now as they are all too expensive and looking at getting another freezer after this!

    Any last help appreciated

    Thanks

If it only frost up on the pipe at the top and not evenly over the evaporator it looks like it might be a refrigerant or compressor fault.

You need to check to see if the compressor is running hot.

If it is then it is one of the above faults.

The compressor is hot to touch yes Bob. I trust these two fixes are not for the fridge DIY novice though?

    Thanks

It’s an engineer job if it is a refrigerant fault.

If the compressor is hot then it’s not a DIY repair sorry for the bad news.
