Hi, not having much luck lately, first my dishwasher’s heater packed up (now replaced, thanks penguin) now my washing machine has given up the ghost 🙁

It works for a minute or so then stops and shows the error code ‘SE’ I can’t find that code in the manual and a quick search on google threw up a couple of possibilities of either a sensor malfunction or a motor fault.

Any idea what the fault might be and is it easily repairable or is the machine now fit for the great scrapyard in the sky?

    Thanks

    John

as close as damn-it yes, the full model number is WM-1295FHB

Here’s a pic of the sticker on the side of the machine (there’s nothing on the inside of the door)

    Hi ratsalad,

SE error is indeed a hall sensor/motor error or possible wiring to these items.

plug out if you intend to have a look yourself.

I have had a look at the sensor and can’t see anything physically wrong, everything is nice clean and dry in that area, is it likely to be just the sensor or the motor? I’ve searched google but can’t find a sensor anywhere, so does anyone have any idea where i can source one from?

just tried the machine again and it goes to the se error as soon as the drum starts to turn now.
