ParticipantHi guys, have read through your forum and it’s v.good. Has helped a number of times before however this time I’m stuck.
I have the machine above and in the past the filter has blocked showing the OE error message. I have 5 kids so it gets jammed up with hair and crap you would expect them to put in the wash.
Today during a cycle it started to drain and then showed the OE message. I immediately turned it off and emptied the machine through the hose before taking out the filter. It was clean as a whistle. I checked the outlet hose and this was fine. I also checked the sink U bend as this has in the past caused the machine to stop. Everything was clear.
Turned machine back on and it wouldn’t spin. I assumed that the load was unevenly distributed so turned it off and emptied it. Then tried to run an empty rinse cycle. It filled up and the drum turned round but when it came to draining it just stops. No error codes or anything just will not go any further. I have now emptied it using the hose and it’s sitting idle.
Any ideas would be much appreciated b4 services call round.
Steve

Removing the filter and cleaning it is the first step. Hands and knees and torch is the next one – look right into the back and see if anything has got into the impellor chamber and jammed it. Things like hair slides, hair bobbles and even elastic bands can get through the filter and into the chamber.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I have done this and can see no blockages at all.

Ok, with the machine turned off, does the impellor revolve easily? When turned, it should resisit slightly and then “ping” round 1/4 of turn at a time. If it feels stiff or gritty, it will be worn and needs to be replaced.
Spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to supply a new one at a sensible price, if required.

Seems to be moving around as described. Have called out the service engineer anyway. Could something have worked through past the impellor and blocked it elsewhere?
