What is the best (cheapest) alternative for a replacement motor for an LG upright please.

Best quote is 70 ish ukp which seems very steep.
    Is there an equivalent?

    Motor is rated 1400 (1600)

    Vacuum is LG VUP861NB

I did post a request to parts but dont think it went properly. Emails wrong or something?

    Thanks 😀

£70 is about right TBH and we’d not be much, if any, cheaper. It’s an LG only part, there is no alternative available.

It also shows as being no stock as well but, that’s not really a surprise as not many people will want to fork out that amount of money of a vac motor for an LG. 😉

Odd that the email hasn’t been received though.

Thank you. Its a shame, as it was a nice vacuum to use and better than many. (motor clearly wasn’t)
We only paid fifty quid for it in a cpc special.

Have you ever tried to get them apart? Seems to have invisible screw heads.

Its really only the bearing that’s u/s I may be able to replace it.

Na, it’s Far Eastern, pretty much not designed to be serviced or repaired if it breaks. It seems that the attitude is, chuck it out and buy another.

Hence we advise people to get a proper cleaner. 😉
