LG motor or module?

    Got an LG washing machine in with an E8 fault. Looked up the error code and ordered a new heater assy. Fitted it then put machine on test. Machine fills ok then motor appears to growl for 10 secs then faults E8.

    Seem to remember the servis quartz doing the same thing and it was always the triac on the module at fault.

    Was going to order a motor but now think it could be the module. Any ideas?

    check the connections on the pcb first.. i had that fault and it was a loose wire on one of the connections

    which one exactly i cant remember

    Tried that, checked all connections with no joy.

    is it a direct drive or belt driven?
