LG Ref/Freezer GR-642QVP water dispenser broken

Hi all,

I have had this LG for about 3-4 yrs, it’s been fine but about 6 month’s ago the water dispenser stopped working, no noise no water nothing. This fridge freezer does not need plumbing in for the water dispenser as the water is topped up via a large bottle on inside of the door from the kitchen tap or as my wife prefers….filtered water. 🙄

When it stopped working I took the inside panels/plastic away to reveal the motor, tested the power with a multimeter which showed voltage therefore it seems the motor for the water pump has packed up.

My question to you is where would I get such a motor to replace mine as I looked 6 month’s ago on the net and found nothing, unfortunately the wife has been on at me about it ever since which is about 5 month’s 29 days too long lol.

I can get the pump/motor for you KCU 😀

It depends how fast you want it, one distributor who has it in stock the price is £61.13 and another who would take 2-3 weeks to supply is £38.93 😕

Both inc VAT, ex carriage (£4.95)
