LG side by side american style fridge freezer fault

I have a LG sibe by side model number gwl227ybqa.

Whilst dispening ice from the icemaker a fault developed.

The dispenser light has started blinking on & off along with a relay in the control board on top clickinh on & off.

The ice maker still tries to operate but it seems that the rubberised duct door that opens to let the ice out no longer opens resulting in the ice backing up in the shoot.

after a while the relay & blinking light stops but the duct door still refuses to open.

I have removed the ice making unit completely but cannot see how to get into the door to acces this duct door. not sure if i can go through the the display module?

How does the module remove?

If anyone has any ideas or knows of an engineer how might be able to assist it will be greatly appreciated?

I’m in en8 waltham cross by j25 o the m25.

I have noted that the control module can be replaced on the top of the appliance but its aprox half the cost of the fridge.

I don’t know a lot about those LG SBS machines but you can find an engineer here in all likelihood.
