Hello!
I have an LG TDC70040E condenser dryer from around 2007 in which I recently replaced both the heater element and the capacitator.
At the same time I cleaned everything inside and all went smoothly.
Now, the dryer keeps tripping the thermostat which is kind of annoying since I have to disassemble the dryer to reset the thermostat.
I have cleaned up everything as mentioned in the manual and as said the dryer is clean inside.
The pump kind of sounds restrained (as if trying to empty water where none is present) but water seems to be emptied correctly.
I have run a test program from the repair manual and it strikes me, that the pump test returns 240 (max) for “sump level” (no normal level given) and humidity returns 240 (max) as well (should be below 180).
Could that be the reason why the thermostat trips? What is the connection between high humidity and heat?
I am at a loss as to where to go now. Should I test the pump, the sump and the humidity sensor and how?
Thanks,
Søren
