Had customer phone with reported fault of no heating during the drying cycle and had the back off to re-set the thermal cut out after cleaning masses of fluff from the unit. (nice little quick fix)

Having turned on the LG again customer reported that it makes an intermittant rattle enery now and then? Waited for around 25mins as the dryer was nice and hot and sure enough a rattle came from down the bottom on the left hand side fora few miutes and went away again. This was quite loud and sounded a little like the idler puller for belt tension vibrating on the spindle having taken the LHS panel slighly away to have a look.
Drum turns round smoothly and so does the motor. This comes and goes during the drying cycle.

I ussume this is not the small pump that shifts the water to the plastic container in the drawer?
Or is it idle pully chatter from side to side?

    Thanks canufixit

Yes the tumble dryer was empty with nothing inside wet and tank empty.
Sounds like it could be the drain pump starting up and turning off with no water load inside.

The drum runs very smoothly when hot or cold without the slightest noise coming from the unit when rotated by hand in both directions.
Will Inform customer it is a feature!
