LG Washer dryers – Fire hazard? Recall?

Whilst concerns recently over appliances catching fire are in our minds, been out to an LG f1480RD which was tripping.

Now, am well used to these beasts and their sister 1403rd/yd models shaking the heater loose, and then deforming the air duct, but never seen anything particularly severe. However this was worrying, the heater assembly was still firmly affixed but its shook the ntc off, and proceeded to overheat, melting the dispenser drawer, discolouring the lid, and cooking the mains filter pcb.

There is a list of current recalls if you follow this link, it is futher down the page. I had a look yesterday and the vast number of is staggering. :eeek:
