I have a fault on the above machine where, when the motor starts to turn it makes a “grouling ” sound and appears to have restricted movement. There are no fault codes coming up but the customer said that the last time she used it she could smell burning and it came up as “call an engineer”
The sound is a bit like drum bearings but they seem to be ok,although when I turn drum which moves freely I can hear something very light dropping inside, almost like something is stuck in one of the paddles.I dont think there is enough of a restriction to cause the motor to seize when turning.
This is one of the 11 kg machines with a fixed outer tub and the internal drum fitted to shock absorbers.
Is it likely to be a faulty stator, although there is no sign of a fault on inspection?
