ParticipantThe machine showed error code dE. I understand this is ‘door error’. I replaced the door interlock but still get the same error. Where do I look next? I am a fairly well experienced electronic engineer. Thanks for any info. This is my first post so please forgive any errors and feel free to correct me. Cheers, Andy

hi andrew B,
check the door handle pin has not come out of its fixing holes, to do this you need to dismantle the door assy.

Thank you Bob, I’ve checked the hinge end of the door and all looks secure. The catch swings into the interlock cleanly. Any other clues?

Hi Andrew B
have you dismantled the door frame and looked at the handle pin itself

Bob, No, not yet. I’ll look at the hinge end properly tomorrow. I only really looked at the interlock and assumed that was the only electronic means of determining door closure. Are there electronics at the hinge end?
Thanks, AndyNovember 28, 2007 at 8:06 pm #235705BobHope

Bob, Thanks again. I’ve just had a look at the hinge end and, of course, there’s nothing electronic there. I’ll dis-assemble the handle and have a look. Cheers, Andy

Bob, I took apart the handle and yes, the pin had dropped. Re-assembled and connected back up – still the same. I tried the original interlock back in – still the same. Any further thoughts? Cheers, Andy

hi Andy
please take your time and backtrack all that you have done as the pin problem quite common, check that the door has been corrrectly assembled.
