    Hi,

    Hope you can help.

We have the above washer and it’s been leaking out the bottom. Not lots, just a bit every wash. It’s less then 2.5 years old.

We had someone have a look at it about 6ish months ago and was told it was a design flaw. The water that feeds into the detergent drawer is too powerful and leaks out and down the sides inside.

2 weeks ago, my husband went to use the washing machine and the display panel lit up like an Xmas tree. When he went to turn the knob to select a program, it didn’t change. He unplugged it and plugged it in again, to no avail.

Again, called someone out. Unfortunately it started to work again but he didn’t know what it was. We guess the electrics got wet.

I used it this past weekend for 5 washes and it was fine. Hubby goes to use it again this AM and same problem. When he came back from dropping kids to school, it worked.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I wrote to LG and as it’s not under warrenty, they can’t help but gave me the name of The Appliance Repair Center (0208 840 0400). they want a £60 call out fee plus VAT plus any parts.

My husband is tempted just to dump it and get a new one.

    Thanks,
    Judy

Hi, suggest you try turning down water pressure at stop cock or tap that feeds cold water hose to machine.

    hi

yes this is a common fault with your washing machine and it will need a new soap dispensor unit that is availble either from the on line shop or ourselves if dave has’nt got any in stock.
