My water dispenser has a reduced flow rate.

I have trawled through these forums and there seems to be many problems with people not getting any water from the water dispenser. I am still getting water but it has now been reduced to a trickle. It takes ages to fill a glass, probably about 3 or 4 times as long as it used to. It has been like this for a few weeks and has not got any worse. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what might be the problem?

The model I have is an LG, GRL227KGHA, side by side fridge freezer with water dispenser and ice maker.

    Hi

When was the last time you replaced your water filter ?

Are you using a genuine filter ?

how old is your appliance ?

    Hi

Then start with that then as water filters need to be changed minimum every 6 – 12 months

    Re: LG water dispenser problem

    Hello again,

I have now replaced the filter.

Unfortunately this hasn’t fixed the problem. Also, now when you stop demanding water it takes a while to stop, maybe 10 or 15 seconds. It’s like a valve closing really slowly. I was wondering if it could be a valve that’s sticking. Am I on the right track or am I talking rubbish?
