Hi I have an LG model as per my Subject line as above.
After experiencing a DE error and “attacking” it as per the hand book error listing, I replaced the Door latch with the appropriate spare part from a reputable supplier in South Africa. The replacement has made NO DIFFERENCE at all. The machine still refuses to start and after 30 or so seconds the DE error code is displayed. I have checked the door latch ( it seems to latch perfectly) Is there perhaps a “reset” on the module that is required? If so How do I go about resetting said module.
Otherwise WHAT ELSE could the problem possibly be?? :bang:

Could also be control module believe it or not !
I changed a door interlock recently for a de fault and it worked very briefly so ended up replacing the control module
I know not exactly your scenario but close enough
You can test the old interlock just to be sure
With your test meter on 20k ohms try to find a resistance between any 2 connectors out of the three given
As long as you find one (does n’t matter value) Interlock is ok
Compare it anyway with your new one? That’ll tell you if your new one is ok also
Something should come to light after all this
