LG WD12126RD Washer Dryer

Went to this machine today, first time I’ve seen one. When I put it on spin, fault code LE comes up, there is a ‘ringing’ noise from the motor but there is no motor action. Any suggestions on this one would be greatly appreciated, cheers. PS, it’s one of these direct drive motors.

I checked the error codes shown in the new Whitegoods handbook, it shows error code LE as an interlock fault, but in the customers instruction manual it says it’s a motor fault. It is the motor that is at fault on this machine, but not having any experience on this type of motor before, I was hoping someone had any imformation before I start ordering stator or rotor parts.

Hi 🙂 “LE” 1 wire ,2 hall sensor,3 stator ❓
from pass experiance hall sensor or PCB or both 🙁

hi all,

LE as stated in the ukwhitegoods code book is incorrect (must be a missprint), LE is a motor lock error and as mbdas says it could by any of the three faults he has listed, but check the motor plug wiring first as corrsion from a weeping bearing seal can cause this, if that fails change the motor stator as the hall sensor effect switch is faulty.
