LG WD14311RD any good?

I have 4 children so there are 6 in the house and we had a rubbish Hoover WDM130 and I have noticed this LG for £477 delivered, 8 Kg wash load would save a lot of time would only use dryer sometimes.

Have a read of these articles, http://tinyurl.com/zez8h may help to make your mind up, in particular note the reference to spares problems with Korean machines.
To be honest, unless you go for the Meile or similar then buying any Washer/Dryer for a family of 6 is not a good idea. It really would make sense to try and accommodate a separate tumble dryer somewhere.

Try telling my wife that she insists on a washer dryer although we do not tumble dry that much. The biggest problem we have is the quantity of clothes and the bed linen needing washing some days we can wash 2 or 3 loads a day. They do give a 2 year full warranty and 5 years on the direct drive components? Although the AEG L16830 is about the same price.

The AEG will be easier to repair if it goes wrong with better availability of spares at a more reasonable cost.

Washer dryer in a family of 6 is a bad idea – go for separate machines even a compact tumble dryer if you have to, bear in mind that the 8kg LG will only dry about half that amount, in my own opinion if your going to use the LG with 8kg loads on a regular basis then I doubt the bearings will take that kind of punishment and they aint cheap to replace either.

Thanx for info farmboy I cannot talk the wife out of washer dryer (I know my place!) So will end up with one .I have maintenance background (not in washing machines though) so after 2 years I may be able to repair bearings myself. Has any one tried Domestic and General they will extend warrenty on the LG 12 months £99 24 months £169 36 months £189 you can pay by monthly installments too at no extra charge the latter would give 5 years warranty. This could be on either machines.
