    I have been to this large 11kg machine today and it appears to have a faulty direct drive motor, when spin is selected it turns once then, as it tries to turn the other way it jams and makes a loud hum. the jamming is not mechanical but caused by the motor not operating correctly. i remember other threads regarding this but search doesnt seem to work for me! Am i right in thinking the stator is at fault?

    UPDATE: i have now managed to find the other threads and it seems it will be the stator, but does anyone have a part number please?
