    Hello,

Can someone help with this machine.

It is an LG WM1433FD Washing machine.

Appliance was reported as dead and a Main Control Module Diagnosed.

    The Module was replaced.

After only a few washes the machine failed, then came back on after 2 hours. After a few problamatic washes, the customer called us to say the problem mainly occurs on short wash.

Eventually we had to call back as the appliance was dead.

Upon inspecting this Module, the Large Capacitor on the board has popped the end off!

Can anyone shed any light as to what may be causing the issues please?

Can’t you dig the capacitor out of the silicone and solder in a new one?

I often repair boards but may just had this one back to LG.

Was wondering why this capacitor should blow (end popped off with a bang).

    What does this capacitor do?

Thanks for that, as I assumed.

Just thinking the motor could be faulty then?
