LG WM1480 FHD washing machine showing ‘DE’

LG WM1480 FHD
Visited this machine last week, not starting, showing ‘de’ (door error).
I replaced the door interlock and the machine now starts ever time.

The customer has now called me back and says every time she uses it, it stops mid cycle and ‘DE’ comes up. She then selects spin and it completes the cycle and finishes.

Any ideas folks?

DE= Drain error

LE = Lock Error

UE = unbalanced loads…hope this helps…..check the pump!

thought ‘de’ was door error, as interlock was definatly at fault, will go back and investigate further.

Hiya,
LE is lock error but refers to the motor, not the door lock. Normally the hall sensor at fault.
DE is a door lock error.
OE is a drain error.

D.E drum error had it few times .. you will need to change the stator or the sensor that clips onto stator ..

drain error and door lock error and drum error!

Yup, it’s come up before and no definitive meaning was ever agreed upon.

Down this way

OE- Outlet/Drain error
dE-Door Error Lid error for top loaders
LE-Motor Error
Same error code for all LG Front Loaders &Top loaders

yip is abit confudleling…

all i can say we have had it a few times , been caught out fitted door locks etc … now we fit stator every time

Hiya,
LE is definitely a lock error on the motor. The hall sensor can’t signal where the motor has parked.

DE is definitely door error

DE is the door lock error
on the manual type of door lock it is usually the handle pin that has worked loose.

on the electic opening type ive had the door interlock fail and the mains input filter panel cause the problem, let the door lock then tap the mains input panel on the to rh side of appliance if the door unlocks its a dry joint on the pcb (replacement is the only cure.

LE is a motor related fault. (hall sensor)
