Customer describes machine as “stopped and dead”. Anything obvious I should be looking for?

Surface mount fuse on power board had blown – looks like a triac gone on the big heatsinks. Soldering a “temporary” fuse across resulted in instant failure upon plugging in. Everything else meters out ok – is it safe to just go with a new board?

Hi Chris

This model when it first came out had massive failure rates on the main board,I ended up keeping 6 in stock,Once replaced there was no problem.
