We have a Liebherr 2840 built in fridge (very expensive) which came with our new house. It does not keep cool but we we can reduce the temperature by pressing a super cool button which makes it chill properly. The problem seemed to strat just after the 1 year warranty ran out! The superchill only lasts and needs reset every few hours which is a problem if you go away for a couple of days. The problem seems to be the themostst. Local electricians do not seem to want to touch and Liebherr will charge a fortune just to look at it. One option is to dump and get something cheaper with less to go wrong but placing almost £1k worth of fridge on a dump seems wrong somehow.
Any thoughts?

Robert, if you could post up some more info from the rating plate inside the fridge please.
I’ll check out some details on Monday for you when I’m in the office.
It is probably an electronically controlled unit though which won’t have a thermostat as such.

it may be that your appliance does have a 2 year parts and labour warranty depending on the age of it.Leibherr started the 2 yr waranty approx 2yrs ago so give them a call on 01977 665559.

I can tell you that this unit is not electronically controlled so it may well be just be a thermostat failure which shouldn’t prove too costly or problematic.
