Service No 9988648-07 Both fridge and freezer decided they are not working after 10 years of fault free service. Compressor is running. Drain hole is clear but neither fan appears to be working. Status display is telling me the temperatures are rising so can I presume the temp sensors are working? Is there a control/fuse for the fans? What else could be wrong?

I posted a similar question about my FF (again a Liebherr – icbn3056). From the self tests I found online I came to the conclusion that it was a fridge sensor, not sure which one as there are a couple to change so may just go with two to save taking it apart twice. Right now I have switched the fridge off as the freezer seems fine unless the fridge temp increases then the freezer follows suit as I assume the evap plate starts freezing to try and control the fridge (mine has a single compressor and evap and yes could be one of these but will go for the cheaper fix first).

Like you a number of views but no suggestions or even confirmation of the part number so I can try and source myself… as Liebherr will only suggest 2 companies near me and both have very poor reviews so will give them a miss… but you may have better luck if you call Libherr UK.

Hope you get it sorted… and if you do please let me know how!!

    Re: Liebherr CNPes 3867

I stripped contents of both fridge and freezer and defrosted for 24 hours since there was a lot of ice behind the evaporation plate and to clear the always present layer of ice that builds up on the bottom of the freezer. Switched back on and freezer started cooling down. When it reached -18 the fridge started cooling too (I guess with single compressor they are linked). So I am back up and running and left with no obvious cause. Potentially it was the excessive hot weather or my wife over stuffing the freezer with ice creams for the kids.
