Hi,
In Sept this year we purchased the (titled) fridge freezer.
After a few weeks we noticed ICE forming inside the freezer and on the front drawers – no what we expected from a ‘No Frost’ appliance. Called Liebherr who sent an engineer. Problem diagnosed as a faulty mainboard which was ordered. Spoke to the retailer about our dissapointment with what was supposed to be a reliable brand. They spoke to Liebherr and agreed not to repair, but to replace the entire unit. This was done.
Now we have the same problem with the replacement unit. Called Liebherr who sent an engineer (same one as before) who is now confused.
There is no way to change the temperature of the freezer (apart from SuperFreeze) which varies between -12 and -25.
Any advice ?

Ice forming on the front of the freezer drawers is very common on all makes due to humidity.Air is approx 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} water which will attach itself to the coldest point which when you open the freezer door is the front of the baskets.
This is happening more so now days due to the amount of double glazing and the lack of “free air movement” which is the natural drafts which would reduce the humidity levels in houses.This was more apparent in the dyas when the condensation would go onto the windows and drip down…same thing but it freezes.Wipe over the draw fronts now and then will reduce it but you will never get rid of it on any frost free freezer.

this will also occur if you are putting in too much unfrozen food all at once, it will cause temp to rise and the cold drawer fronts will condensate and refreeze as ice droplets, super freeze should be turned on an hour before you put vast amounts unfrozen food in.

‘Dales-Electronic’ – thanks for passing my details on. Martin Smy (Coolectric) called me on Weds. After a lengthy call, we discovered it was all down to room temperature. My kitchen doesn’t have any heating and the Liebherr ambiant temp feature seems to be kicking in and making the freezer colder than it should be.
The CUNESF3913 only has on cooling circuit. This is related to the fridge and if the ambiant temp drops below 16 degrees (my kitchen is around 15 degs) , then the heater in the sidewall of the fridge activates. Increasing the temp of the fridge forces the ‘ cooling ‘ program to start and this in turn drives the freezer temp down even if it doesn’t need it.
Does all that make sense ?
So now it’s back to the retailer and Liebherr to see what options they can offer as what I’ve got isn’t suitable for my kitchen. Also, in the manual, I can’t find anything that relates to this ambiant temp business.
I have put a convector heater in the kitchen for the time being and although the temp is now around 18 degs, the sidewall heaters are still on in the fridge.
Will update you all on the outcome with the retailer and Liebherr

Latest Update.
It transpires that the ambient temp must be above 18 degs and not 16 degs – that’s why the side wall heaters are still coming on.
The temp in the freezer now varies between -12 and -30.
Leibherr are digging their heels in and stating that the device is working as it should and the retailer is telling me that I cannot return it to them for a refund as it is now outside of the initial 28 days. 👿
After a lengthy call with the retailer, it seems all may not be lost. There is a chance that Liebherr may send one of their specialists out to investigate the situation. I’ve made it very clear that I still want to buy another Liebherr, but one with 2 cooling circuits – I just need to get them to refund the cost of this one first.
Apparently I’m the only person to report a problem with this model.

… after loads and loads of phone calls , plus personal vists to the sellers showroom we have finally got Liebherr to respond to us. For the past week and half, the seller has been trying to get Liebherr to contact us to arrange a date/time for their visit. Liebherr Engineer arrived today…. Spent ages checking temperatures inside the Fridge and Freezer. Outcome is that it IS faulty. Seems the Fridge can’t get below 7 degrees and therefore the continuosly runs the freezer (-30 degrees). He also noticed (before we could tell him) a small condensation spot on the side casing or the fridge (something to do with where the pipe runs).
Now we are awaiting his written report into Liebherr Management to find out what there are going to do.

Final update (I hope)
Liebherr called today and confirmed that the product is faulty and offered a CNES4056 as replacement and no money to pay – accepted the offer.
Can’t see it arriving before Christmas, but pleased to have reached a satisfactory conclusion.
