Hi,

Sorry if this has already been covered. I had a quick search but couldn’t see any posts that exactly matched my problem.

I bought the above fridge freezer approx 2.5yrs ago. The motor has recently stopped running and now the fridge is not cooling so the alarm keeps going off. The freezer is still freezing but not to the same temp as previous.

Can anyone give me any advice of what could be the problem and how I should go about sorting it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, sorry I’ve just seen this.
The audible alarm you’re hearing is related to the freezer and not the fridge. If the motor definitely isn’t running then that could be due to a sensor, pcb or the motor itself.
Time to call out an engineer I think.

Quick update on the problem…

Called the Engineer out and all he did was take the white panel off the back of inside the freezer, chip away the ice and clear the small food particles from the drain in the metal tray that had built-up. Hey presto a working fridge/freezer!

He also recommended doing a full defrost every 6/12mths.

Seems so obvious now :boops:

I had read the guides on this site but it all seemed really technical re testing things with multimeters etc.

Anyway, hope this can save someone a callout charge.
