ParticipantI have a Liebherr CUNesf3913 with service number 0979540-00 that has developed a fault and was hoping that someone out there can help with the relevant spare parts and maybe advice on replacing the faulty parts too.
The freezer section seems to be having trouble maintaining temperature as it beeps (four times) and the LED flashes and the alarm button flashes red.
The fridge section seems ok but neither seems frost free at the moment.
Unfortunately it is an intermittent fault and it can sit perfectly happy for days then suddenly the beeps happen and the temperature rises again.
I have checked that the fan in the freezer is working and can just see it slowing down and stopping as I open the freezer door.
It also doesn’t seem to be making the usual noises that it did like sighs and slight squeaks so would appreciate any help with my issue.

With the intermittent nature of your fault, it’s likely to be a sensor issue, but I’d also be checking the condition of the freezer evaporator just to make sure you didn’t have a blocked drain hole.
If that was ok, then I’d be looking at the fridge evaporator sensor 9590142.
Obviously the job isn’t so simple that I can just sit here and diagnose without seeing the appliance, but that’s the more likely scenario.
Other causes of your problem could be the freezer evaporator sensor or even the pcb.Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, I would appreciate if you could tell me the part numbers for the freezer sensor and the pcb too.
Kind regards

hello giles, the freezer sensor is the same part number as the fridge one – 9590142 and on this model you have 2 pcbs, display pcb is 6143042 and main pcb is 6143110.
have you changed the fridge evaporator one?December 3, 2015 at 6:27 pm #432666Giles71

Thanks for the information.
I have not yet and had an engineer round who took the freezer panel off and removed a huge amount of ice from the evaporator as the door was not closing and drawing moisture in.
He did do a diagnostic on it and said it was just due to the ice build up.
The alarm is still sounding and I was wondering if you had the diagnostic sheet for my appliance so I could check it for myself.
I’m suspecting that he didn’t quite get all the ice out or the freezer sensor may intermittently be sending the wrong temperature to the pcb.
