Liebherr Fridge Door Hinge Pin Stuck Inside Door

Hi
The door hinge pin on my Liebherr fridge has broken off & the pin is now stuck inside the door. I have ordered a new hinge pin but won’t be able to fit it without first removing the broken off pin. I tried using a needle to ease it out but managed to push it in further.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

hello jane and sorry for the late reply. this fridge is one where the hinge pin sits in the bottom of the door and is in turn screwed into the hinge at the foot of the fridge.
there should be a bigger piece at the bottom of the hinge pin, making it impossible to go inside the door.
that is, unless the door itself is damaged?
also there should be quite a bit of pin outside the door for you to just pull out easily.
are you sure that the bottom of the door isn’t damaged too?

Hi. Thank you for your help.
There is a hole in the fridge door which the pin swivels on. The problem is the pin has snapped off the bit that screws in to the fridge hinge. The whole pin is stuck inside the fridge door. There is no damage to the door. I have ordered a new hinge pin which could be very easily fitted if I could g&t the pin out.

Hello, so if I understand correctly, you have a length of hinge pin stuck inside the door with no way of gripping it to pull it out?
If so there are a couple of options that spring to mind. Get some strong adhesive, such as araldite and glue something to the bottom of the pin. When it’s set, pull out.
Drill the bottom of the hinge pin with a fine drill, screw in a self tapping screw and pull out.

The part finally came this morning. There was a delay due to a fire at the suppliers warehouse. Just to let you know I’ve managed to get the pin out by prizing the plastic case out. New part & door fixed back on now. Good as new.
