    Hi,

I’m thinking about getting a Liebherr CNPesf 3913 Comfort Nofrost stainless steel fridge-freezer, and, having read that they have a reasonably good reputation, was set on that. However, having had a nose around Curry’s, and examined loads of different fridge-freezers, including the white version of the Liebherr, I’m a bit concerned. I wasn’t sure that the quality of the shelves and drawers in the Liebherr were as good as I’d expect, and, all in all, the fridge-freezer seemed a bit ‘drab’. Now, I know looks can be deceptive, and I’m not after bells and whistles, but can anyone reassure me that buying a Liebherr is a good investment (is there such a thing?), in terms of long-term reliability etc. After all, I can get a top-of-the-range Hotpoint for hundreds less, and have change for all those spare parts I might need over the years!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

They are the best you can currently purchase. Article here about refrigeration in general and here all about Liebherr. Which I think you will agree there is more reason to buy a Liebherr than not to 😉

    Don,

Thanks for the reply. I think I will go with the Liebherr, particularly as the spare parts do seem to be freely available on here!

    Once again, thanks!

John, forgive me my ignorance, but how can y oh tell which models have an inverter compressor? I imagine this is reserved for the more expensive models in the range, which probably rules out the model I mentioned.

    Re: Liebherr Fridge-Freezer?

John, I don’t think Liebherr do themselves much of a favour with their website. I am reluctant to say that it’s, er, very Germanic, but detailed technical information is a bit sparse. When I was in Curry’s, if a fridge/freezer had an inverter, they intended to splash a label all over the front of it, just so you knew. All you get with the Liebherr is, well, nothing of the sort. I guess they imagine they don’t need to advertise in that sort of way!
