ParticipantHi, I have one of these fridges, and the alarm on the fridge was sounding, and not cooling. I turned it off, the freezer defrosted, turned it back on, and then the fridge was working – for about a day. Then it stopped working again. I turned it off again, let the freezer defrost, turned it back on – and the same result. Fridge cooled and worked for about a day. Any ideas on the problem? Thanks.

ParticipantHow long did you do a defrost for, if overnight it may not have been long enough, is the fan working in the freezer, are you getting frost forming on the interior rear panel in the freezer, without more info its impossible to diagnose your issue. The system will concentrate the cooling to the freezer if it is too warm and this will affect the cooling of the fridge section unless its powered off and electronics will reboot but revert back to main freezer cooling. PS we always need index or service numbers to identify your exact unit.

ParticipantHi Tony, yes it was just overnight. The fan is working in the freezer until I open the door. Frost is forming, and ice. Service number is the 0982654-01. Thanks.

ParticipantI would try an extended defrost for a least 3 days, longer if possible and check to see if the drip tray fills up with water the tray is situated on top of the compressor, most frost free units can suffer from a blockage in the freezer drain, this causes an ice build up in the freezer. if it fills up then that was your problem and it should be then good as gold.

ParticipantLet it defrost for 6 days, and the drip tray was full of water. I put a long small brush down the freezer drain as well, and it came out in the drip tray. Switched it back on, so I guess its now a waiting game. Thanks.

ParticipantI hope you did not push of the black rubber drain valve with the brush, it is very important that it is in place, as there will be direct air entering the drain and will give you further problems.

ParticipantSo….. I’ve got the same problem again.
I switched off the fridge for 5 days, have turned it back on, and the top 3 lights on the left hand side of the led panel are flashing and the alarm is sounding.
I can’t turn SuperFrost on.
The fridge is not cooling, but the freezer is what I’m assuming is the correct temperature (it is cold).
What could be the problem?
Many thanks.

ParticipantYou mention the green blocks, are they flashing in sequence with the super frost light ? if they are and its the 9 7 and 5 then that is a fault code for a sensor failure.

ParticipantYes – it is the 9, 7, and 5 lights flashing in sequence with the superfrost light. Is this an easy diy fix, and which part would I need if it’s an easy fix? Thanks.
