LiebHerr Fridge Freezer not cold enough

Hello

I have a LiebHerr 150210 / 7084364-03 / CUN(esf) …3 Fridge Freezer. Two nights ago the alarm starting ringing, even though the doors were fully closed. Yesterday morning the temperature had dropped considerably in both the fridge and the freezer and continued to drop. The fridge is not cool at all, the freezer is quite cool, but is taking 6-8 hours to freeze anything, where it usually takes about an hour?

The alarm light is also flashing, which I read elsewhere indicates the unit is too cold?

There was a huge build up of ice at the bottom of the freezer, which I removed, but this hasn’t made a difference.

Can any one suggest what the problem maybe and if I can fix it myself

Turn it off for about a week to allow a full defrost, or remove rear panel in freezer and carefully defrost it with a hair dryer, try not applying to much heat as there is an expensive thermal fuse located on the cooling coil.
