Participantcan anybody please help?
I have a SGNes upright freezer and over the last few months the alarm has sounded more and more frequently. Each time I unplug and open the door until the temp is above zero then switch back on and all is ok again but then a few days later the alarm sounds again!
Now the alarm is going off after 15 mins of doing the above. The freezer was emptied, switched off and completely de-frosted for 2 weeks before I replaced the evaporator sensor – the fan is operating, (the freezer still empty) but alarm still goes off almost immediately after switch on. Do you know what the air sensor does and should I re-new this also to eradicate this problem? also..I get the nA sign come up which the booklet said is power failure, although none of the other appliances show this sign (eg liebherr fridge plugged in right next to freezer) i would really appreciate your help in this matter
Thanks

Sensor issue most likely.
But, I’d need the service number to look it up.

Thank you for getting back so quickly. Is that the air sensor you recommend me changing?

There are two in it plus a temp limiter, the limiter will be okay I’d think.
Both sensors are the same, this one:

Small kit thing now, one mounted at the top and one at the front in the evaporator housing.
What one is the problem though, that I can’t tell you.

Good Evening K
Unfortunately both sensors have been changed but still getting the nA sign immediately with with alarm after switching on. None of the buttons on the panel respond when pushed..ie the up and down temperature buttons, superfrost and alarm wont stop unless its switched off at the wall..any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!January 26, 2017 at 10:50 pm #444665Tony R

Eddie, do you have a euro plug adapter on the mains plug ?
You are definitely losing power to the unit, hence nA in the display.
It could be a faulty connection in the adapter, there are a couple of slots the pins sit in, they may not be making a good connection. Would suggest fitting a British plug and retest.
Regards,
Tony.
