ParticipantI’m just wondering how you self employed engineers cope with moving built in ovens in and out of their slots alone, loading machines into your vans and on and off raised plynths in the retirement laundry rooms.
As an older generation engineer I’m finding it getting harder to manage these jobs especially Miele.I’ve used a Genie lifting trolley, but that’s awkward and won’t take weight of the Mieles
Has anyone got any ingenious methods to help?
I’ve seen this motor bike lift called Eazy Rizer which is something like I’m looking for except it’s too heavy and it would need to dismantle for transporting.
Perhaps someone could design something!!October 13, 2013 at 11:43 am #402737Andy jones

That’s the easy bit, you get someone to help lift it on and off!
I’ve never been daft enough to attempt to deliver and install this type of appliance on my own. Too heavy, too bulky, too much chance of damaging it, it’s surroundings and more importantly, me.

Thats just brought back a memory.
On the farm that I grew up on we had a sack barrow with a crank handle that lifted the base up like a fork truck.
I bet you cant get them any more but great if you could.October 16, 2013 at 8:50 am #402744stevebunyan
