Light flashing on my hoover tumble drier

I have a VHC681 Hoover condesor tumble drier and it has stopped drying. The machine runs for about 5 mins without getting hot and then stops.
Once it has stopped all the lights on the machine are flashing and it does this on every setting. The water container is empty and the filter is regularly cleaned, any ideas?

The flashing lights indicate an error. To establish what the error is you simply count the times it flashes. There is a pause between the series of flashes as in the example below :

3 flashes followed by a slight pause = water tank needs emptying.

How many flashes in your case I wonder? 8)

Once the machine stops all the lights flash continuly with no gaps or breaks and all 6 lights flash too?

That likely as not would be a faulty heater/thermostat unit then. 🙁

Yes you were correct I replaced the heater and bingo it worked, many thanks.
