I have a John Lewis JLSS2009 and the cooling and freezers are functioning fine, however, when I open the Fridge door neither of the lights are coming on. If I switch the Fridge off and back on when I open the fridge door both lights come on. They stay on though, so when I shut the door they remain on. After about 10 minutes they switch off and don’t come back on when I open the door, again they work briefly after a power reset. Any thoughts?

The door on the fridge may have dropped so it is not operating the light switch.

The light then cuts out on the thermal cutout and only comes back on after a reset.

The door will have to be raised with some nylon washers on the hinge pin.

Thanks Bob, is the light control likely to be the white piece where the doors meet?

John Lewis models work with a magnet built into the door on the top.
If you reset the light so it’s on then with the fridge door open use a magnet just underneath the display panel and move from side to side near the centre and you should see the light go out.
