Possibly. If I try one of the programs the content of machine do not even get wet.
I can get water in by putting the machine on rinse then i spin them about 10 times to get as much water off them as I can and then have to air dry.
Any pre set programs no water makes it way to the drum so i get all the noise for a few minutes but that’s it.
Found something in book about the waste pipe being between certain heights but that looks to be fine.January 3, 2018 at 8:51 am #452700Martin

It could be heating element problems. I wonder if James could enlighten us with the model number of his machine as that may help?
Oh! And just to clarify his take on “loading & unloading”? Does he mean ‘filling then draining?’

Will check on number tonight as in work currently. Did have it on phone but that’s died too…
Yes filling and draining, only the programs (except rinse) don’t actually fill the machine. its all talk (noise) and no action

Model number is essential, some machines are hot and cold fill, more recent ones cold fill only. A faulty hot fill valve could cause this problem, especially if you have a combi boiler. It will sound as though it is filling but if you look in the detergent drawer you may just see a trickle at the back. Could also be main pcb failure, very flakey on these, drain pump energised at the wrong time one of many known faults. 🙁
Are you getting any lights flashing?
