A man who grabbed a domestic appliance repair man by the throat and wrestled him to the ground in a disagreement over payment.

I’m not excusing the assailant, but it appears the trigger was an unexpected charge for diagnostic work. Shows the importance of agreeing charges up front, particularly when advertising “No call out charge”.

Oddly on a previous occasion said assailant threw stones at his van…..alarm bells?

Every person who rings for appointment Is told our charges and
They still get it wrong when relaying to spouse,
We ask if they have pen and to write it down.
But any engineer who doesn’t talk about their charges and then expects to get paid, does not have my sympathy if not paid.
This case might be just a violent customer

We confirm ours by e mail and agreed by e mail but still the snobby lawyers try it on and try to reduce the costs..

Err, they ring up and ask you to repair their appliance. 😉
