s20brww20-a/gWant to change the filter one the above fridge freezer but cannot locate it. Looked until the freezer in the bracket thing (sorry I don’t know the technical phrase!) as suggested in the manual but there is nothing there. Any ideas?
Apparently it should be a circular screw off cap but this isn’t built into the bracket (or behind it).
Any help would be great!

possible it is located at floor level just below the freezer door.

It is that type, screw off cap below the fridge door if I recall and this filter is behind that cover:

It twists out, new one is just a reverse of that.
We’ve had a few, only a few mind, that have become “stuck” and then you need to replace the filter holder as well.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the help.
As you both suggest (and the manual does) it should be at floor level below the fridge / freezer door but it isn’t there. Any ideas on where else they usually are?

All S20 models should have the filter I pointed out.
Is this a UK model?
How old is it?

Not all models had the water filter fitted.
Those that have the filter fitted will have a filter change warning light and reset button on the control panel.
If you don’t like the taste of the water you could fit an external filter or have a filter tap installed on your kitchen sink.

I believe it is a UK model around 6 years old.
I guess on this feedback it doesn’t have a filter, I just thought with the manual asking me to change it once every 6 months it would!
Where do you fit an external filter? Between the in pipe and fridge freezer? Do you know where to buy one?
Thanks!

Hi Riki,
You need an external kit for it, like this one, for the first time you do it:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Fridge+W … ilter.html
That’s just an inline water filter kit that fits anywhere on the water feed pipe.
After the first one though you should be able to use these filters that don’t have the kit gubbins with them:

Much cheaper.
Don’t ask me why the kits are so expensive by comparison, I’ve not got a clue.

Hi
Have you actually pulled off the grill at the bottom ? and checked behind it ?
top right hand side of the fridge ?
