    I bought a Hotpoint FFU3DW Fridge Freezer in 2015. But the fridge section is warm and set off the alarms. I opened the panel in the freezer and realized the evaporator was buried in ice. I left the fridge off for 24 to allow the ice to thaw. After 24 hours the fridge was back to normal, but the situation has happened again and i am having to go through the whole process again.
    Can anyone please tell me where the defrost timer is located in these model, i have tried locating it but i can’t find it. any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    the defrost cycle should be controlled by software on the pcb. with your icing up it could be a failed defrost heater
