Logik Fridge freezer – Cutting out LFC50W12

This machine works fine most of the time but it sometimes just stops working and defrosts. The light stays on but the compressor stops, then after a while, mainly within a few hours but sometimes a day later it comes back to life!!

I assumed the defrost timer was at fault as this is a fairly basic model. So I’ve changed the timer back a week ago but the same symptoms are happening again.

Any ideas?

Brett – Likely short of refrigerant causing the compressor to overheat and cut out on its safety cut out or a faulty thermostat most likely the former
