Logik L612WM15 won’t spin since cleaning filter

I cleaned the filter on my washing machine this morning and since then when the washer goes through a cycle it just won’t spin when it’s supposed to. It will get to the time to spin and will just be completely silent. I’ve checked the drain pipe isn’t blocked and that the filter has been but put in properly, the drive belt is still in place too.
does anyone have any idea what the problem could be ?

i assume the water pumps away ok so your filter and pump must be working ok

select just a spin programme with no clothes in and see if it spins at all

Yeah it fills up and emptys completely fine. We tried it empty earlier and nothing again

time to start looking for faults

does the motor turn ok on the wash or does it not turn at all ?

if it does turn does it only turn one way and it should reverse on the wash cycles ?

There’s no movement at all

ok check the motor, if it has brushes check them first

Thank you for your help, we’re really not very good with DIY and as it seems that this isn’t going to be a simple fix we’ve decided to just buy a new washer.
