ParticipantOnly had my washing machine for 1 day (it worked fine on the first day) came to use it today and noticed whenever i selected any of the programmes to wash, the temperature flashes and always goes back to 60? even for delicates and handwash? when i try to change it to 30 or 40 it flashes for a while then goes back to 60.
The washing machine itself is working however it appears the washing machine can only wash things at 60?
Im not sure if this is actually the case as i haven’t dare put anything in it to wash anything incase it shrinks or whether it’s just a problem with the lights on the temperature panel.Anyone any idea?
Thanks 🙂

Hi Imogeneve
I have the same issue with the above newly purchased machine and found your post when searching the internet. Have you managed to find anything more about the issue?

I thought it was washing everything at 60 too but it’s just the progress of the wash, rinse, spin. I however have bought one in the back end of October and now the drum won’t spin

Doesn`t spin. Does it pump the water out? It has to pump the water out before it will spin + being a Vestel made Turkish machine rather than the L712wm13 which is Chinese ( a triumph of post revolutionary Moaist thinking at a160 quid ) if the load is heavy but small it probably won`t spin even if it has pumped the water out as it`ll sense that the load is out of balance; drum goes round but never picks up enthusiasm to spin. If none of these then it looks as though its broken which is fairly rare at this age. Let us know.

I have the same problem: if the LH light indicates where the machine is in its programme – wash, rinse, spin, end – how do you know what temperature it’s operating at? I press the Temp button and the light moves down to 30C, which I want, but then goes back to the top to indicate Wash. How do you confirm the wash temperature?

I had the same problem and contacted KnowHow (Curry’s technical support outsource). They have a memo, given to them by the washing machine manufacturer to help with this question:
“Select the temperature you want by pressing the Temp button. If you select, say, 40C a stationary light will appear near ’40C’ for 3 or 4 seconds indicating that this is the temperature setting you have chosen. After 3 or 4 seconds, the light will start blinking at the top of the display (beside 60C). This indicates the point in the cycle, i.e. Wash, is ready to begin and NOT THAT THE TEMPERATURE HAS CHANGED.”
So now we know.

After reading this I trusted this and it has shrunk my £70 cashmere jumper which has always been washed on a 30degree wool wash in other machines 🙁 its clearly washing at 60 however why 60 is set as a wool wash is beyond me :,( not happy

If you are not satisfied with machine as for a replacement you don’t have to have a repair done if if only a few days old
