Hi, I’m looking for some advice on buying a new fridge freezer.
I fancy an american style FF but don’t want a fancy pants water/ice thingy (I don’t have a water connection available and wouldn’t use it anyway!).
Are there any on the market that don’t need a water supply? I’m struggling to find any!

I currently have a larder fridge and separate larder freezer but they take up an enormous amount of room and the fridge is now icing up the drain hole and leaking water on the floor – time for something new I think – Any suggestions what though? 🙂

    thanks,
    Lisa.

Switch of f the fridge and clear the drain hole with a plastic cable tie or similar,it may still hsve years of life in it.
Swopping two separates for a one motor driven dual cabinet ummmm, call me old fashioned but, think carefully is my advice if they aren’t past it.

    Hi

I’m with spimps on this one. If you don’t need water and ice two separate machines is much better in terms of storage, capacity, reliability and in most cases price as well.

Thanks for the feedback guys but you are missing one vital thing – space! the two separates just take up too much room 🙁
Also, the Fridge icing up problem has been ongoing for the last 3 or 4 years on and off (it can be fine for 6 months or so then starts its nonsense again!) and given that they are both now 10 years old, I think their time has come (either that or the end of my patience has been reached!) 😉

    Hi

I was thinking in terms of 55cm wide refrigeration which would be only slightly wider than an American style appliance.
